The F4 Corporate and Business Law paper assesses your knowledge and understanding of the corporate and business law framework. If you want to work as a chartered certified accountant, ACCA’s F4 Corporate and Business Law paper is an essential step in helping you to realise your ambitions.
The University’s highly qualified and experienced staff will offer you support and expert tuition to help you develop a deep understanding of corporate and business law, starting with an introduction to the overall English legal system and moving through closer examinations of employment law, the formation of companies, financing, capital, management, administration, regulation, insolvency law, and fraudulent and criminal behaviour.
During your studies, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to identify the essential elements of the legal system; recognise and apply appropriate legal rules; recognise and compare types of capital and financing; explain how companies are managed, administered and regulated; and demonstrate an understanding of corporate fraudulent and criminal behaviour.

Home students starting this course in the first year will be required to pay a Home fee of £500 for the academic year 2021/22.
Overseas students starting this course in the first year will be required to pay a Overseas fee of £500 for the academic year 2021/22.
Important note regarding tuition fees for the 2021/2022 academic year: EU nationals who meet residency requirements (have settled or pre-settled status) may be eligible for ‘Home’ fee status. If you do not meet these residency requirements, overseas fees will apply. Irish citizens living in the UK or Ireland will be eligible for ‘Home’ fee status under the Common Travel Area arrangement. The fees for a student’s course of study will be set for the normal duration of that course subject only to inflationary increases – measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded in March each year to take effect for subsequent start dates.

You’ll be expected to attend a three-hour learning session (6pm to 9pm) once a week for 15 weeks.
The first hour of each session will be a formal lecture introducing a key topic on the syllabus. The following two hours will be conducted in a seminar format, looking at past exam questions on the subject area covered in that week’s formal lecture.
There is no written coursework for this qualification. Your grade will be based entirely on the results of a professional written examination set by ACCA.
