Obtaining a position on a Law degree course can be difficult, not only are there entry requirements to meet, but you also need to be ready for the high commitment levels it requires. One of the best ways to get onto a Law degree is by completing a foundation year in the subject first.
If you aspire to have a successful career in the legal profession, the University of Bolton’s LLB (Hons) Law with Foundation Year is an ideal choice. This foundation year helps students without the academic qualifications to prepare for their future 3-year-long LLB (Hons) Law degree and acts as the first step to becoming a legal professional.
During the foundation year, our experienced team will introduce you to key areas of Law and raise your awareness of the legal system and the legal processes within England and Wales. Being able to recall ground-breaking court cases is just one aspect of your learning; knowing why they were so vital and how the cases were won is just as important.
Students will gain the support needed to develop the skills required to practice law including interviewing a client and practising their case in our £100,000 moot courtroom.
Not only will you gain knowledge of court cases and the general proceedings whilst in court, you will also learn academic skills to help enhance you learning such as finding, understand and using appropriate academic resources.
The LLB (Hons) Law with Foundation Year challenges students to develop sought-after employability and transferable skills. With research-active academic law staff offering students access to expertise in a range of disciplines, it comes as no surprise that the University of Bolton came seventh in the UK for teaching quality according to The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020.
