What Does the Course Provide?

The University of Bolton’s Social Work course is a 3-year, full-time course that will award you with a BA (Hons) degree. The course combines university learning, work-based practice placements and an ongoing professional skills development scheme that will have you fully equipped to step into the world of professional social work. During the course, you’ll cover areas such as the impact of injustice, demography, and social inequality, as well as safeguarding and recognising the signs of harm, abuse, neglect and exploitation. You’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience and develop an invaluable network of professional contacts during two work placements. Our expert academic tutors come from a wide range of professional and academic backgrounds, will help you  to weave essential knowledge of inter-professional and multi-agency working into your learning, making the transition from university to work that much smoother.
