Benefits of attending an Open Day

If you’ve already looked at university websites, contacted them by email or phone, or even had a conversation, you might be wondering... what are the benefits of attending an Open Day?

Not only does an Open Day allow you to get a real feel for the place beyond pictures and videos, it also allows you to experience the surroundings.

Open Days give you the chance to speak to lecturers in-person about their passion for the subject, course modules, and employability opportunities within the sector. You can get the answers to any of your questions, enabling you to make the right decision. Do they sound like the type of supportive person that will be in your corner whenever you need them? These are the sort of things that you can’t find out by just reading up on a university online!

Where to check for Open Day information

University Open Days are usually held on weekends, so there’s no need to panic about potential clashes with work or school. If you can’t make the next date then don’t worry, as they are usually held at regular intervals throughout the year; giving you plenty of opportunities to attend!

Visit the university’s website and social media feeds where Open Days are promoted.

Why consider Bolton

We are passionate about putting our students and their needs first; giving them the support they need at every step of their university journey. This is one of the reasons why we have been voted first for Student Satisfaction for five consecutive years*.

We guarantee you continued support throughout your studies. Due to the smaller nature of our campus in comparison to other universities, our students study in smaller class sizes; increasing the quality of interactions between students and lecturers and resulting in Bolton being voted in the Top 5 UK universities for Teaching Quality in the 2022 Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.

We invest in our facilities, to ensure that our students are being taught industry-specified content, making them job-ready:

- £31 million Bolton One building
- £13 million National Centre for Motorsport Engineering (NCME)
- £4.8 million Institute of Management
