One of the things that sets our programme apart is our commitment to hands-on learning. We believe that there is no substitute for real-world experience, so we require all students to complete practice learning placements as part of their degree; giving them the opportunity to put theoretical knowledge into practice and gain invaluable experience.

We also offer unique drop-in clinic-based sessions for continuity of care experience, antenatal and postnatal care, simulated education, reflection, and parentcraft teaching. This is just one more way that we make sure our students are well-prepared to enter the workforce.

Together with our NHS Trust partners, we’ll work to prepare you for the challenges that await in this ever-changing world. You learn all about best practices and the skills you need to enjoy a career as a midwife. Students leave Bolton University confident about their abilities both delivering babies or taking care of mothers during labour.

If you’re looking for an accredited midwifery degree that is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, there’s no better place to consider than the University of Bolton! Upon completion, you’ll be eligible to register as a qualified midwife; giving you a great foundation towards entry in a rewarding industry.
