Studying for a degree can seem like a tall order, with plenty to revise, learn and recite some students start to ask how this knowledge will help them after they graduate. But at the University of Bolton, our students are equipped with more than knowledge to repeat in interviews. We also provide students with industry connections and work placements in order to prepare them for the working world.
By working closely with TV and movie industries, ensuring students develop the right skills and make the right connections, our students graduate with a higher potential to be hired post graduation.
Adam Jackson, a Roto Artist from Double Negatives TV department, said: “The University of Bolton produces an exceptional standard of graduate because the course structure and content is so finely in tune with current industry practices. It gives them an amazing work ethic that is vital for a VFX studio environment.”
The University of Bolton offers Special & Visual Effects students professional-grade facilities, including purpose-built workshops, special effects make-up room, fabrication lab, mould shop, machine shop, photography studio and computer suites with industry-standard hardware and software.
As well as guest speakers and industry panels, numerous course modules are taught by industry luminaries, allowing students to work directly with a practitioner at the top of their field. You’ll work on live projects and have the chance to go on trips to special effects studios and industry events. The University of Bolton’s commitment to real-world experience means numerous students secure their first jobs before they even graduate.
