Famous people you never knew studied Psychology

Study of the mind is a detailed and interesting world. Attempting to understand the intricate and delicate wirings within our brains involves a lot of research that we are still trying to discover to this day.

This fascinating world has gathered a lot of attention from young and prospective students throughout their studies, but what you might not know, is that plenty of famous people around the world have obtained a degree in Psychology. Let’s take a look at some of those who you wouldn’t think graduated in psychology.

Lil Wayne

The American rapper is possibly one of the biggest names in modern-day rap and hip-hop, his gold teeth, his abundance of tattoos and questionable fashion have hit the headlines as many times as his music has in the charts.

But just after he began his career in music and before he became world-wide famous, Lil Wayne went to the University of Phoenix to study an online Psychology course.

Jessica Ennis-Hill

The British heptathlete made her name after winning Gold in the London 2012 Olympics, from there her athletic career has continued to soar but we now also see Ennis taking part in advertising campaigns for a magnitude of brands. Her inspiring story and dedication to sports is something many young women have looked up to, but few realise that while taking part in events such as the Commonwealth Games and the British Championships, she was also studying a Psychology degree and the University of Sheffield.

Three famous people from entirely different fields, united by one common interest in the world of psychology. Would you like to follow in their educational footsteps and enter the sector? Why not check out the Psychology courses on offer at the University of Bolton.
