The Advanced Diploma of Continuing Professional Development in Teaching and Supporting Learning in Professional Practice is aimed at Practice Teachers/Practice and Clinical Educators.  It is designed to enable Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) registrants meet the Nursing and Midwifery Council standards to support learning and assessment in practice – stage 3 (Practice Teacher Standards) of the framework (NMC, 2008).  Some course members may use the acquired credit to work towards a full Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher and Professional Education and may also be working towards stage 4 of the NMC framework (Teacher Standards). The course is accredited by the NMC and approved by Health Education North West.

All course members are required to have a mentor in practice and evidence of engagement in the mentor review process is required in the summative evidence profile therefore your role is vital to the course member’s successful completion.  This website is intended to provide you with the key information you will need to carry out your role, but if you require further information or assistance do not hesitate to contact the programme leader below.

Thank you for supporting our course members.
