After graduating from Cardiff Institute of Higher Education with a BA (hons) in Art Education in 1993, Amanda embarked upon a full time teaching career in Foundation Studies. Amanda completed a PGCE in 1999 and has subsequently held both management and teaching roles in a range of further education providers. Having achieved a Masters in Learning and Teaching and QTLS, alongside a range of other educationally relevant qualifications, Amanda started delivering the suite of teacher education programmes, on a full time basis, at the College of West Anglia in 2010. She joined the University of Bolton in 2014 within the School of Education.
Research Interests and Research Subject Specialisms
Research interests include incidental learning, the notion of identity particularly for trainee teachers, transition, promoting positive behaviour, education policy and curriculum studies.
Amanda teaches on the full and part time PGCE (14+) M level programmes, and has taught on the BA in Teaching and Learning.
