Posted on Wednesday 3rd May 2017

The University of Bolton’s student-led creative magazine, The Bolton Review, is hosting a launch party for its exciting latest issue today at 5:30pm in the D2-28 Law Courts. All students and staff are invited. The Creative Writing Showcase at The Octagon Theatre will follow.

The fifth issue of the magazine, which was set up by staff members of the Creative Writing team at the University to allow its students and staff to submit creative works of all types, is entitled ‘Commas and Cocktails’. The title follows in the tradition of previous issues by comprising of words taken from the first and final texts in the issue.

The 2017 editors, third-year students Holly Gray and Madison Hope-Tatnell have been overjoyed to receive hundreds of submissions since the call went out in February and the latest issue is packed with creative writing, photography and illustrations.

There is also a new look to the design and format of Issue 5 of the magazine with the printed version being kept under wraps until the great reveal which will take place during the launch party.

You can follow the magazine on Twitter @TheBoltonReview and read Issue 4 online at the magazine’s website:
