Graphics draw industry leader

Advertising business development guru Duncan Slater has been giving University of Bolton Graphic Design students his unique insight into what works in his industry.
McCann’s is known around the world for its powerful advertising legacy with campaigns for brands such as Coca Cola. It was McCann’s who developed the ‘It’s the real thing’ tagline and produced the iconic ‘I’d like to teach the world to sing’ hilltop advertisement. McCann Central’s Business Development Director Duncan has worked with a legion of advertising giants. Before joining McCann's he worked with JWT, SBW, The Attik, Poulters, Cheetham Bell and Love.
Focusing on The 10 Myths of Advertising, Duncan, with Graphic Design course tutor Anthony Roocroft, set students an advertising brief which he will be following throughout the module, culminating in student pitches at the end of the semester.
‘The insight of industry giants like Duncan will give students a high level of profession insight when they create work with us,’ said Anthony. ‘They will gain massively from this experience and I look forward to seeing what Duncan’s motivating vision inspires.’
