Welcome to Photography

The BA (Hons) Photography will develop your visual language and give you the practical knowledge and skills to express your creativity as a photographer. It will provide you with a foundation for the further development of your professional practice either as a career, a means of personal expression or through further study.

You will have the opportunity to learn a broad range of photographic practices such as documentary, advertising, portraiture, social, architectural and landscape. You will study digital media as well as traditional silver and experimental photographic processes.

The department has a newly refurbished, custom-designed photography department with outstanding facilities including darkrooms, a dedicated computer suite with a high output printing facility and four studios with specialist lighting.

Teaching staff all have extensive experience in a broad range of photographic media and genres as well as the history and theory of photography.
