Software On-Site

The University of Bolton self-service software website allows you to browse and subscribe to software available on-campus. You can add software to your personal profile and use it anywhere on-campus, find where you can use particular software titles and list software assigned to the computer you are using.

You can see a list of software deployed to the university's various computer suites.

MS Office 365 for Education

Office 365 for Education gives students access to Office365 with 1Tb of free storage and MS Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, OneNote).

Gives students free development tools for learning, teaching and research. To access MS DreamSpark please visit the link below: UoB Webstore - Click on Single Sign-on 

and log in with your university username and password.

SPSS is a computer program used for statistical analysis.

You can download SPSS to be installed on your personal computer from this myfiles link. Log in with your normal username and password and download the version you require.


The university site license allows for staff and students to download and run Nvivo. You can download the appropriate version from and you can obtain the license key from this myfiles link (log in with your username and password).
