Lecturer in Accountancy
I am a qualified accountant and have worked for large national and international companies both in the UK and overseas. I have over 20 years’ experience of working within the accountancy practice, retail, chemical and education sectors. I am on the board of several local charities and have experience of running my own small business.
My experience consists of a mix of financial and management accounting roles. I have experience of statutory reporting, implementing finance systems and control systems, internal reporting to senior management, budgeting, costing and forecasting.
I have lectured to trainee accountancy students since 2003 and uses examples of real life experience wherever possible.
I am currently studying for a PhD, looking into the professional identity of accountants working in large public sector organisations.
