This diverse School was established in 2007 from the three former Departments of Health and Social Studies, Psychology and Life Sciences, and Sport .
There is an extensive and varied range of programmes on offer which will provide you with an excellent choice of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses| focusing on your specific needs. A key strength is the extent of employer led work based programmes designed in partnership with professional bodies and responsive to new roles in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
We pride ourselves on the expertise offered by experienced School staff with practitioner backgrounds in nursing, health, social care, social work, community, early years, counselling, psychology, biological sciences, leisure, sports coaching and sports science.They will work with you to enhance your knowledge, skills and capacity for reflective practice enabling you to achieve your career aspirations. We maintain a strong reputation for high quality and flexible courses, delivered in friendly small class sizes.
A growing research culture developing in Social science underpins all our learning and teaching activities and you will benefit from the specialist understandings these insights bring.
