Advanced Composites Research and Training
Advanced Composites Design Programme
Details of all courses are available on the downloads| page.
About the project
The CoDate project facilitates further development and the launch of urgently needed solutions to industrial problems in advanced materials.
These industrial-led courses through education and training will be delivered by new flexible modes that include e-delivery, to provide industrial capability to respond and maintain international recognition in their respective fields of excellence.
Fundamentally, the material and delivery methods are industry driven, and the programme in Advanced Composites Design and Analysis |through the University of Bolton will be achieved by following a number of routes through a credit accumulation methodology.
Credits can be taken as CPD alone or as credits towards a recognized qualification at certificate, diploma or full MSc level.
Each of the modules will be available in 2 - 3 week blocks, as well as through e-learning. In this way they can be taken as discrete modules at the point of need by industry.
The new courses in composite materials, manufacture, structures, analysis, repair and life cycles as a joint project between academic and industry, linked to novel delivery modes driven by industrial needs.
Delivery of the courses will be through a combination of short courses linked to CPD educational modules and post graduate level courses through delivery modes that provide blended learning methods to foster technology development and access to up skilling of the participating companies and universities.
The development of fast-track routes to qualifications will be based upon knowledge transfer between industrial partners and participating universities including The University of Manchester |and The North West Composites Centre|- through this scheme and the linkage to other projects active within the network.
