The Student Centre
The Student Centre is a one stop shop which houses careers, the disability service, student finance, accommodation immigration and welfare, chaplaincy and counselling services.
The Students Union is an important part of student life at university. The staff will be able to help you with advice, recreational activities, student clubs and events.
As part of your university (and programme induction) you will meet the team who will be teaching you over the next year. You may be allocated a personal tutor. If you have any concerns about your work or the course, it might be useful to address any questions to them. If the issue concerns an assignment which you don’t fully understand, speak to the lecturer who has set the assignment, who will be able to explain what’s required in more detail.
The Library And IT Services
You should receive a library induction and tour as part of your programme induction. This induction details how to access library and IT services and meet your subject librarian . If you have missed your induction or tour there is a video on the Library webpages which contains all of the key information that you need.
