Moodle And Turnitin

Turnitin is the university’s adopted plagiarism detection software. It is likely that you will have to submit assignments via Turnitin as part of your studies. Moodle hosts Turnitin via a direct link, so you don’t have to log into a different place to submit your assignments. Here are some help guides on using Turnitin via Moodle:

It is likely that you will use Microsoft Word to document your work. Here are some help guides on common questions we get asked regarding using Microsoft Word. Microsoft Word also has a help button and online tutorials which can be very useful.

Microsoft Access is used for tables, forms and queries and you will usually be advised to use this programme specifically. If you are required to use Microsoft Access as part of your course, your tutor will give you some guidance regarding the use of the software. Microsoft Project

Microsoft Project is used for basic project management. It allows you to create and manage your project. IT staff do not support Microsoft Project, help is usually given via your tutors or see Microsoft Office’s support webpages.

SPSS is a software package used for statistics analysis. Many students use SPSS to gather than statistical data in their dissertation or large projects. Support for using this software as with Microsoft Project is done by tutors.
