What happens at an Open Day?

At a University of Bolton Open Day you are in control, a provisional programme of presentations and tours will be sent out to you two weeks before the Open Day, allowing you to plan your day, ensuring you get the information you need.

Our student ambassadors are on hand to take you to the presentations and offer advice, there is complementary tea and coffee till 11am too.

University Overview presentations offer students, parents an overview of the University and the funding options available to them. We also have a wide range of Scholarships and Bursaries available.

There will be subject presentations throughout the day – giving overviews of courses, offering you the opportunity to see the range of fantastic courses on offer at the University of Bolton. Our lecturers are also on hand to answer any questions you have about courses, career paths, and study options.

Campus tours, Hall of Residence tours and bus tours of Bolton run throughout the day.

Do I need to bring anything?

If you book on to attend the open day 2 weeks before, you will be sent an information pack with a provisional programme of presentations, and a questionnaire that we ask you bring along with you and hand in to the ambassadors on the sign in desk.

You should take a look at the courses on offer at the University of Bolton before coming to the open day, so that you can prepare questions for our lecturers, and get information that will help you make an informed desicion when applying to University.
