Students relaxing in the SU bar

The University of Bolton is a small institution with big ideas and the drive and ambition to make them happen. Our staff and students are at the centre of this ideology and we want you to become part of it.

At the University of Bolton we will go all out to make you feel welcome! We have a compact and modern campus, in the middle of the town centre. With around 9,000 onsite students from a diverse range of backgrounds, we are sure you will never feel overawed or out of place.

On campus we have the facilities for you to exercise your mind, body and soul. You can join the gym, sports clubs or visit chaplaincy to explore the more physical and spiritual side of campus life.

The active Students' Union will give you a voice and openly invite anyone who wants to take part. Along with the SU we have a thriving International Society that brings together the many nations that make the University so culturally diverse.

After all that learning and activity you will need a place to rest, relax and refuel. It doesn't matter if it's a full square meal or a skinny latte you're after, Bolton has something for all culinary tastes. Check out the Athena café for a cappuccino or visit Deane Deli and Eagle Restaurant for a more substantial meal.

At the centre of Bolton campus life is the Social Learning Zone (SLZ) and SU bar, The Loft. A hive of activity, the SLZ is used for academic and recreational activities. A huge space where you can meet with friends and classmates to discuss a group project or what happened at The Loft the night before.

And are you a student who can't keep their fingers off Facebook or stop tinkering with Twitter? Or do you just like burning the midnight oil for those coursework deadlines? Well with free Wi-Fi anywhere on campus and a 24-7 computer room, it's no problem at the University of Bolton.
