Sports Lab/Clinical Demonstrator

Overview

Lisa was a Physical Training Instructor in the Army before she embarked upon her educational journey into Sports Science. After completing her Sports Science and Coaching degree with First Class Honours, Lisa worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at a performance centre in Hoylake for 3 years, (The Underground Training Station). Lisa initially began here on work experience and eventually obtained a full time position, gaining experience and practical knowledge from other exceptional and knowledgeable coaches. Lisa enjoyed her undergraduate time at Bolton University so much that she soon re-enrolled onto the MSc in Strength and Conditioning and applied for a job in the Sports Science Lab as a Demonstrator. She now works alongside Catherine Sigley assisting students with their practical work in the Lab and working within the Athletic Development Centre (ADC). This involves taking elite and professional athletes, as well as clients from the general public, through various physiological and biomechanical testing, in order to assist them with their training.
