Teaching Responsibilities

Lecturer in Sports Rehabilitation.

Overview

In clinical practice since 2002, I have worked in settings including professional football clubs, a physiotherapy clinic and as a personal training/medical exercise specialist in Canada.

I joined Bolton in 2009 and, apart from lecturing on the degree pathway, I focus on the clinical areas of postural re-training, spinal and core stabilisation, and functional and holistic rehabilitation of upper and lower limb injuries. My hand-on approach aims to return patients and athletes to pre-injury activity levels and beyond.Other particular areas of interest include biomechanically-related injuries, sports performance and exercise physiology, and I enjoy using my professional sports training and strength and conditioning background to develop and enhance the performance of athletes at any level.

I am a Graduate Sports Rehabilitator, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), Health Professions Council Registered Physiotherapist and Member of British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT).
