I have been involved in the nursing profession since leaving school at 18. My professional background includes Adult Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting all of which was undertaken in the North West region. After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Health (Nursing) I completed an MSc in Health Professional Education and am recorded as a Lecturer with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. My currents studies and research interest involves Continuing Professional Development for nurses and its impact on patient care.
I joined the university in 2002 as part of the Health team and have experience in teaching and leading on all of the health and professional programmes. I am currently the Academic Group Leader of Health and Social Care; hence my teaching commitments are confined to dissertation supervision.
My academic interests include health professional education and continuing professional development.
