Brian Bainbridge – Graduated 2014

'I have really enjoyed the challenges of the course and if you’re willing to put the work in then the tutors have an open door policy that helps you achieve the most from your academic journey.'

Youth and Community Work

'The degree course has had such a positive impact on both my professional and personal life. The modules enable you to gain the competencies needed to become a professional youth worker and to be valued in the working environment as a professional with exceptional skills in working with young people rather than the assumption that we are merely "someone who plays pool with young people."  More importantly the degree enables you to reassess your own motivations for entering a career in this field and challenges you to question your preconceived ideas and assumptions.

'The tutors are fantastic and give you the theoretical knowledge needed - but they always "keep it real" and relate the theory to modern youth work practice. They also really care about the students and will go above and beyond offering support and guidance to help you achieve.'
