Senior Lecturer in Accountancy
I entered the teaching profession after completing industrial training with Courtaulds Textiles, a degree in Business Studies and a PGCE. After a spell in further education I joined the University of Bolton, where my main duties within Wellbeing and Social Sciences involve work on the Accountancy, Law and Business programmes.
During my time at Bolton I have also spent 18 months as Assistant to the Principal (Planning) and two years on a secondment as a University Learning and Teaching Fellow. This fellowship focused on the development of e-learning and involved chairing the development of the university’s current e-learning strategy.
I recently completed an Med with a focus on networked learning, which relates closely to my academic interests around the adoption of e-learning strategies to improve academic integrity. I have been heavily involved in the delivery and management of distance learning modules, have delivered modules in several countries and recently commenced a part-time EdD (Doctor of Education) course of study.
