Head of School- Accountancy and Business

Overview

I Joined the University in 1989 as a Senior Management Accountant within the central finance office and moved into a teaching role in 2008. Prior to this I have been a company accountant at Shell PLC, Babcocks PLC and the Nickerson’s group.

I currently work with the Accountancy team and service a wide range of programmes across the Business School.
My academic interests include financial management, management accounting, financial decision-making for managers and business finance, while my research interests focus on corporate/operational strategy and their links to performance management systems in private and public sector organisations.

I hold professional accountancy qualifications alongside an MSc in accountancy. I am also currently studying for a PhD in accountancy which is on track to be completed by December 2013.

Membership of the Business School academic board and strategy sub groups around enterprise and research.
Member of The Higher Education Academy.
