Alan Plater and the Alan Barnes Quintet

Playwright and lyricist Alan Plater (author of 2006's hugely successful Octagon production of Blonde Bombshells of 1943) and composer and jazz musician, Alan Barnes, present the Seven Ages of Jazz, the story of jazz in the UK through music and song.

Alan Plater narrates this humorous and swinging history with tributes to the UK's jazz greats, featuring an all-star quintet and the superb styling of vocalist Liz Fletcher.
