National Students Survey 2010

Monday 01 February 2010

You said, we did! Now it's your turn

Have your say and change your Uni, with NSS 2010.

Are you in your final year* of a course leading to undergraduate qualifications or credits? Do you want your opinions on your student experience to be heard?

Then take part in the National Student Survey 2010! The National Student Survey is your opportunity to give your opinions on what you liked about your time at the University of Bolton as well as things you felt could have been improved.

Student opinion matters. Based on previous year's results the University of Bolton has made significant changes. You can read all about them on the University website, here.

The University channelled available University funding to areas highlighted by students last year and we are taking on student views about the way we work with you. Please take a look at the changes we are taking on board and see if there are new ways we can improve the student experience. Of course, if you think we are getting it absolutely right we would be just as delighted to hear from you too!

As an added incentive to get your survey completed as soon as possible, we are running a prize draw – but only for those who complete their National Student Survey online by 28 February 2010. You could win a laptop, an ipod touch or an Amazon voucher.

NSS results are also published on Unistats.com ^ where prospective students and their advisors can use the information to make informed choices of what and where to study.

If you are eligible for the survey, Ipsos MORI will contact you by email during the week commencing 1 February 2010 to invite you to fill in the survey online. You can also go directly to www.thestudentsurvey.com| to complete the survey and to find out more.

* Includes withdrawn students, students repeating their penultimate year and students on programmes where the length of study is unpredictable.

^ You will be asked to provide some identification details to ensure that you are eligible. Non-respondents will be contacted by post and, if we do not obtain a response, by telephone. You may also opt out of the survey at any time if you do not wish to take part.
