 The Student Liaison Officers understand what it is like to be a student. We are here to help you make the most of your time whilst you are studying at the University of Bolton.  (Pictured above from left to right: Debra, Sloane and James, the Student Liaison Officers).

 

What we can do for you 

We offer information, advice and guidance on a wide range of academic and pastoral issues. We also organise the Peer Mentoring Scheme, which is a great source of support to students, and deliver 'Bite Size' Study Skills Sessions. Please see below for further details:

 The Peer Mentoring Scheme - Experienced students who volunteer to support you!! 

  • Why not join our Peer Mentoring Scheme?   click on this link for details!! It's a great opportunity to be supported by an experienced student (peer mentor) who is a trained volunteer! Alternatively, you may be interested in joining our scheme as a peer mentor volunteer and helping other students!  Please click on the above link for further details of how you can get involved.

 

Develop Your Study Skills - Come along to the 'Bite Size' Study Skills Sessions:

  • Throughout the academic year, we offer informative and interactive 1 hour 'Bite Size' Study Skills Sessions. The group sessions cover a range of topics including; Essay Writing, Referencing, Report Writing, Presentations, Exam & Revision Techniques...and much more! If you are interested in developing your study skills please come along and join our sessions. For a detailed list of the sessions please access the BiteSize page.  

  

 Information, Advice and Guidance -  Drop-In Sessions and Appointments details below:

  • If you need advice or would like some support please get in touch with any member of the Student Liaison Team. Please see our individual pages for details of one-to-one appointments and what we can offer.

  • **New Drop-In Sessions** -  The Student Liaison Officers will be holding Drop-In Sessions for all students in the Student Centre on the following days;                                                       Mondays           09.30am -11.30am                                                                                          Wednesdays    12.00pm - 2.00pm                                                                                       Thursdays        1.00pm - 2.30pm                                                                                            Fridays             1.00pm - 3.00pm                                            
  • No appointment is necessary for the Drop-In Sessions, just come along to the Student Centre on a day that's convenient for you.
