MUMPS -  Are you covered?

There has recently been a large increase in the numbers of people with mumps. The increase has been people who have either not been vaccinated or only received one dose of a mumps containing vaccine.

There is a  Local Enhanced Service with Bolton GPs to offer the immunisation to anyone who hasn't had two doses of MMR up to the age of 21 yrs. Students therefore can avail themselves of this free service by registering with a Bolton GP. Similarly, the MMR vaccine is available via the Walk In Centre at Lever Chambers on an appointment basis.
