Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (such as Dyslexia)

In Higher Education, students with dyslexia, dyspraxia or other specific learning differences (SpLDs) are supported in the same way as students who are disabled and live with health conditions or physical impairments.

This means that support such as teaching adjustments and exam arrangements can be put in place, and also the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) can be applied for. Please see the What Support is Available? |page for information regarding different types of support.

A recent diagnostic report (carried out over the age of 16 years) will be required to access support for a specific learning difficulty (such as dyslexia). If you do not have a recent report, we can advise you on how to get one. Please contact us| for further information.
