Working in the UK after successfully completing your studies
The Tier 1 (Post-Study Work) closed to new applicants on 6th April 2012. However, if you intend to work in the UK after you have completed your studies you may be able to apply for a Tier 2 (General) visa.
As with the Tier 1 (Post -Study Work), the Tier 2 (General) route is available to recent graduates awarded by a recognised UK institution, BUT now, to be able to apply, graduates will need a an offer of a skilled job from an employer who is a licensed sponsor with the UK Border Agency (UKBA).

More changes are expected on the 14th June 2012 - the amount of personal savings required to support your application from inside the UK will rise from £800 to £900; you will still need to show that you have had this amount for 90 consecutive days prior to submitting your application.
