Graduate Vacancies - how to advertise your vacancies to students.

If you have vacancies which you wish to advertise to the graduate market then we can help you. Current  vacancies which would be suitable for graduates can be advertised in one of 2 ways.

  1. On our  Jobshop website  vacancies are promoted to students  via emails sent to those who have registered with the University Jobshop  and via vacancy notice-boards. Please visit http://bolton.prospectsnet.com to register your vacancy with us. You can use this website to enter graduate, work experience and part-time vacancies.
  2. Through the Graduate Vacancy Partnership [GVP] -Please note that over the next few weeks this website is being located on new server so access may be disrupted. This is a  partnership of 14 north west university careers services. The site aims to provide immediate vacancies online to over 40,000 students and job seeking graduates. You can input your vacancy by visiting www.gvp.org.uk and clicking on the Employer tab on the home page and entering the vacancy details.

You are welcome to use both of these services free of charge to advertise your vacancies.

Part-time vacancies - How can we help?

Our Jobshop website  also advertise vacancies for part-time, temporary staff. Many students are able to work evenings and weekends and are very adaptable and many will be able to start work at short notice. We have a large percentage of mature students who are highly motivated and conscientious employees bringing a wide range of skills and experience to new employers. In October we hold a jobs fair for part-time work to assist new students to find work while they study.

How to use the Jobshop
The Job Shop| can advertise your vacancy on their website and display the details in the careers office and on the website. We can also email registered students to let them know about your vacancy. Interested students are given job details and will then follow them up directly with you. Please download and complete the job vacancy form|. Complete it and then send it back to BB2@bolton.ac.uk| so that we can put it on our web site.

Advertise opportunities for work placements. The University promotes the importance of gaining work experience so consequently many of our students will be seeking work-based learning opportunities. All courses are moving towards integrating work-based learning opportunities as a means of developing employability skills.
If you can offer work-based learning to our students paid or unpaid, short or long-term please download and complete the work experience form| and  email to BB2@bolton.ac.uk|
When we receive details of work placements details are placed into our work experience file, which is located in the Careers Service  and forwarded onto the relevant department.
