Lost/Stolen Passport in the UK

If you lose your passport in the UK you must firstly report this to the Police. You can do this by attending your local police station. You will be given a reference number known as a crime reference number. You need to keep this number safe as you will need to quote this when making an application for a new passport and visa.

Once you have reported the lost/stolen passport to the Police you will need to apply for a new passport from your country's embassy in London. The address and contact details of your country’s embassy can be found on the FCO webpages.

Once you have received the new passport you must bring it to the Student Centre where a member of staff will take a scanned copy and update your student record.
