On Wednesday 28th June the University of Bolton, alongside partners from Greater Manchester Higher, will host 'Breaking Barriers', a free CPD and networking event aimed at staff who support students in their transition from college or sixth form to university.
During this event, delegates will have the opportunity to learn more about the support available to students with additional learning needs in the Higher Education sector and have the opportunity to speak to specialist advisors from Universities across Greater Manchester and other external organisations.
Students with a disclosed disability or additional learning requirement, make up around 12% of the student population at the University of Bolton. Our experienced support team have helped students access a range of support, such as: accessible accommodation/car parking, applications for disabled students’ allowance and equipment loans.
The event will run from approximately 11.00am to 3pm on Wednesday 28th June and is open to all colleagues supporting students in their transition to Higher Education.
