Sport England Lottery Fund - £1 million Challenge

Unfortunately the £1m challenge is now closed as funding has expired.

The Sport England Lottery Fund has awarded the University of Bolton £50,000 over the next three years. The award follows the launch of Sport England North West's £1 million Challenge, an initiative set up to encourage workers in the region to get active.

The £1m Challenge

The £1m Challenge initiative is a fantastic investment in getting University staff active in the workplace.  The additional funds have given a welcome boost to a diverese range of activities.  The University staff have been incredibly enthusiastic and have thrown themselves into everything that's been going, in some cases quite literally!

How to get involved

Staff can sign up to the programme for free all you need to do to join is to visit the Sports Centre and complete a short questionnaire.  Once this has been done staff have access to all the activities offered throughout the year, at Student rates.  This includes joining the gym and recreational classes for only £25 per year . Find out more by visiting Fees and Charges| and Recreational Class Descriptions| pages. Don't forget that staff are also eligible to join the Students' Union Sports Clubs| too!

The Sports Centre will also be arranging special activities that are just for staff who are signed up to the £1m Challenge.
