All classes are open to students and staff at the University, as well as the general public.

We are currently offering the following classes and activities, please see below for a brief description of each class/activity:

5-a-side

All abilities welcome to this fun, social session.

Adventure Activities

Look for venture activities including snowsports, watersports etc. For more info/to register your interest ensure oyu follow the Uni Sports Centre on social media or give us a call!

Active Hour

Come and get your daily fix of activity during your University day. These sessions are designed to fill your lunch hour leaving you enough time to grab some food and get back to your desk within the hour!

Basketball

Fancy getting back into basketball or never played before, come along to our recreation sessions. Serious about basketball, come along to our competitive session.

Bootcamp Blast

Come and get a taste of the new fiittness craze involving cardiovascular and strength training geared towards beginners, great for all round fitness.

Boxercise

A fun filled action packed session using boxing principles to enhance fitness.

Boxing Fitness

A fun filled action packed class using boxing principles to enhance fitness. All abilities welcome!

Cardio Tennis

A high energy fitness activity that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardio vascular exercise, delivering a full body calorie burning workout

Instructed Climb

Want to give climbing a try or already an experienced climber but need a belay partner? Come along to our fun just climb sessions where an instructor is on hand to get you started. Ages 5+. Limited spaces booking advised

Badminton

No need for a racquet or a playing partner, no strings badminton offers quality coaching and sociable play in a group. Come with friends or pick them up as you play.

Mixed Martial Arts

Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques.

Park Run

For the local weekly timed 5k run check out parkrun.com

Staff football

A relaxed session for members of staff. Please bring your ID card.

Self-Defence

Learn a full range of self-defence techniques, including: awareness, assault deterrence and setting verbal boundaries.

Table Tennis
