Business Consultancy is often the best solution when you either need 'fresh thinking' or a more independent approach to solving a business problem.
Maybe you are developing a new product and have not fully researched the market?
Perhaps you really need to revise your Business Plan but do not have the time or even the know-how to make a start?
The following two case studies demonstrate the thorough and professional approach we take:
-
New Product opportunity - our client contacted us to evaluate the product design and
marketplace for a new kind of cleaning tool for use in public areas. We conducted a thorough research exercise into the industrial cleaning market and identified a range of competing alternatives such that 'our product' could be compared and its true benefits identified. On behalf of our client, we then made contact with a major organisation who specialised in cleaning large public areas. We visited one of their operating sites and learned what were the various factors they took into consideration when assessing new equipment. Finally, as our product was still at the pre-protopype stage, we used the resources of the Media and Graphic Design departments at the University to produce a 2 minute video animation that demonstated to potential buyers, the simplicity and functionality of the product. The project took 3 months and has enabled our client to focus the next stage of the product's development onto fully working test models that will deliver the benefits their customers' require.
-
Business and Strategic Plan - a specialist training provider in the North-West operated in a niche sector where they helped students with learning difficulties, to develop their skills, build new confidence and achieve greater well-being through working in the client's horticultural centre. This company was growing through a period of transition as their various funding streams were being changed. It was therefore important that they had a good Business Plan that helped them focus upon the requirements of the key decision makers. The project also included an amount of strategic development and encouragement to the management team to seize a real opportunity to take the company forward into some new training areas. A promotional film was produced and along with the highly focussed new business plan, new funding was obtained to support new and existing training programmes for the next three years.
In both of these case studies, it is clear that the project brought innovation to they way in which our clients did business. The benefits of the project were significant and enabled the respective enterprises to obtain a clear understanding of what would motivate their customers to buy and what they needed to do to achieve commercial success.
