John Parkin undertakes transport engineering and planning consultancy for various public sector and private clients. Much of the recent work has included a significant amount of traffic engineering training for Transport for London and other local authorities.

John recently hosted a national conference for experts in cycling at the University of Bolton, entitled “Benefits of Cycling to Leisure and Tourism”, which many delegates attended from across the country and from the private and public sector. A further nationwide conference is to be held next April entitled “Marketing and promotion of Cycling”.
