Good antimicrobial properties and efficient liquid absorbency are two primary requirements of an ideal wound dressing. Alginate and chitosan both natural polymers are uniquely prepared in this work and subsequently processed to achieve these objectives. Various physical and analytical tools are used to confirm and quantify these findings.
