Student advice and support
At the University of Bolton you are a name, not a number, and Student Services are at the heart of the university community to provide you with friendly support and advice.
Your main point of contact will usually be the Student Advisers|, a team of expert staff who's job it is to provide practical help and guidance to all students – especially the questions and queries you might have on first joining the university. The Students’ Union| is also a valuable source of information for new students.
New students can find out more about a range of services including: accommodation and living in Bolton|; financial support and information; the disability service|; the careers service|; the chaplaincy|; the counselling service|; or opportunities such as becoming a student ambassador or volunteering.
Both Student Services and the Students' Union are easily located – Student Services are based in the Student Centre in Eagle Mall and the Students' Union is on Deane campus.
Many new students familiarise themselves with the services and facilities offered by Student Services in the first few days after joining the university. The Student Advisers office is often open in the evenings as well as during the day - for opening times please visit the Student Services Opening Times |webpage in the Current Students| section. The Freshers’ Fair is held in Eagle Mall – right next to the Student Advisers office in the Student Centre.
