Eating
It’s easy to have a great meal out in Bolton. There’s a wide range of restaurants on offer from Chinese and Indian to Turkish and Italian, as well as sandwich and burger bars, chip shops and cafes. The Students’ Union handbook contains great money off vouchers.
Bars and pubs
Bolton really can claim to have something for everyone whatever your preference: stylish bars or traditional real ale pubs; live music and comedy nights or DJs.
Many bars offer student nights and student discounts. Lots of Bolton’s pubs and bars offer great food during the day too. Did you know that Bolton’s oldest building is a pub? The Old Man and Scythe dates back to the 12th century.
Clubs
Bolton town centre boasts a number of clubs offering everything from dance and RnB to Indie, Rock or Skool Disco nights. The University of Bolton Students’ Union| has a good relationship with several of the clubs which regularly host student nights, and offer discounts to university students.
