Halls and houses
There are two halls of residence at the university, The Hollins and Orlando Village. They are both near to campus, and together they provide 700 single study bedrooms.
Everything you’d expect is provided – wardrobe, desk, storage, curtains, easy chair and of course a bed! All the utilities (water, heating etc) are included in the rent. There’s also an internet point in every bedroom.
There are laundry facilities at each hall and lots of car parking spaces. The halls are self catering with kitchens and meeting areas for students to share. Supermarkets are a five minute walk away. University staff are on hand in the day and evening and can provide local information and advice. There’s also a 24 hour security patrol and a freephone number which summons assistance at any time.
The Hollins is next to the Chadwick teaching site; Orlando Village is just ten minutes walk from Deane campus.
Students on all courses, from across the UK as well as international students live in halls which makes Orlando Village and The Hollins welcoming and cosmopolitan places.
