The University of Bolton offers a comprehensive financial support service. This includes a range of scholarships for UK students undertaking full-time undergraduate courses offered by the University. Details of these scholarships for September 2011 start are given below. We also offer a bursary - details of which can be found on our Bolton Bursary web page.

Vice Chancellor's Award*
The Vice Chancellor's Award will be awarded to the most outstanding academically-gifted full-time UK undergraduate students, irrespective of their financial means, who progress to a University of Bolton undergraduate higher education course*
There will be a maximum of three awards each year.
The £15,000 award will be paid in instalments over the duration of the course, i.e. for a three year degree course a payment of £5,000 per academic year would be made.
Students in receipt of the Vice Chancellor's Award will not be eligible to receive the Bolton, Excellence or Care-Leavers Scholarships.
*The award will be paid for first, not subsequent equivalent or lower level HE courses only.

University of Bolton Scholarship*
If you are studying a qualification here at the University, or with one of our partners, that will give you entry onto one of our full-time undergraduate courses, you may get a scholarship worth £750 a year which you don't have to pay back. Excellence Scholarship*
The Excellence Scholarship worth £500 per annum will be awarded to all full-time UK undergraduate students, irrespective of their financial means, who progress to a University of Bolton undergraduate higher education course having successfully accumulated a minimum of 300 UCAS points at A2-level or equivalent.

Care-Leavers Scholarship*
The Care-Leavers Scholarship, worth £1,000 per annum, will be awarded to full-time UK undergraduate students leaving a care background, irrespective of their financial means, who progress to a University of Bolton undergraduate higher education course.

The 2010 Fund
The 2010 Fund is only available to students progression to the University of Bolton from Bolton College. The award is worth £1250 and will be awarded to 3 individuals per year who meet the criteria.
