Grants and loans for living costs

Funding from September 2012:

There are grants and loans available to full-time students to help with living costs.

Full-time U.K. undergraduate students from lower income households will be eligible for a non-repayable maintenance grant which is worth up to £3,250 a year. How much a student will get will depend on their income and that of their household.

For students commencing their study from September 2012 if that income is £25,000 or less the student will receive the full £3,250 grant.

A partial grant will be payable where household income is between £25,001 and £42,600.

Living costs loans and grants are paid in three instalments in each academic year.
