The University of Bolton offers services designed to meet your study and support needs.

The Library

The University's library gives you access to all the books, computing and media resources needed to study successfully.

In addition to 170,000 books and 11,500 print and electronic journals, there is a full range of audio-visual material and electronic access to a variety of internet and online resources. You can access the library catalogue, renew items, check availability and make reservations using the internet from home.

Across the campus there are timetabled and open-access computer rooms and group study rooms, with about 500 PCs available for use. You can also rent laptops from the library.

Student Services

Student Services is based in the Student Centre, Chancellor's Mall. Our student advice team offers information, advice and guidance on student support issues. These include accommodation, careers, chaplaincy, counselling, disability and student finance. They can also make appointments for you to see specialist staff and refer you to other services.  Private interview rooms are available on request.

We also have a student adviser available within the library during term time between 5pm and 9pm Monday to Thursday.

Students' Union

The University of Bolton Students' Union (UBSU) has offices, an advice centre, and the students' union bar and shop. As a student at the University you will automatically become a member of UBSU.
