Bolton going online with BoltOnline

The University will soon launch a range of online undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Business and Computing, under the new brand BoltOnline|.

The programmes to be delivered through BoltOnline this October will be:

  • BA (Hons) Business Management
  • MBA
  • BSc (Hons) Computing
  • MSc Information Technology

The choice of online programmes will then be added to, giving a greater range of study choices to a wide and diverse global community. Professional and short-courses will also be included in the future.

Using the state-of-the-art online study programme, Elluminate, we offer the opportunity for live, two-way communication. It enables students to talk in real time to their tutor, or other students, over the internet.
In this way students will be able to really experience the debate and discussions, all considered to be distinctive features of the British degree.

BoltOnline will be delivered in partnership with The International College (THINC), part of the KES Group. This creation of BoltOnline is the result of a strategic partnership with the KES Group, which has also resulted in the establishment of the Bolton Campus in Ras al Khaimah| |(RAK), United Arab Emirates in 2008.

The launch of BoltOnline represents an important strategic development for the University. It places the University in a position to offer students a range of flexible study options, allowing students to move easily between online provision and any of our other programmes delivered face-to-face under the current partnerships provided in the UK and in locations around the world. These currently include Germany, India, Hong Kong, Malaysia, RAK, Russia and Vietnam.

Teaching staff from both the Bolton and RAK campuses will be involved in the delivery of the BoltOnline programmes, creating additional opportunities as staff from different backgrounds provide that extra international dimension into the curriculum.

Further information on the programmes will be available from the BoltOnline website which we anticipate will be available soon at ( http://uoboltonline.com/)
