Alternative routes into higher education

Access to HE Diplomas

Access to HE Diplomas are available at the University of Bolton. They can help you get back into learning if you haven't studied for a while. Or they can provide an introduction into a new subject you think you'd like to study at degree level.

Currently the University of Bolton offers the following access (or similar) courses:

  • Access to HE Diploma: Business Management (full-time / part-time)
  • Access to HE Diploma: Business Management for International Students (full-time)
  • Access to HE Diploma: Community Studies, Psychology and Education (full-time)
  • Access to HE Diploma: English and Creative Writing (full-time / part-time)
  • Access to HE Diploma: English and Education (full-time)
  • Access to HE Diploma: Psychology and Community Studies (full-time)
  • Access to HE Diploma: Psychology and Health Studies (full-time)
  • Institute of Mathematics' Polymaths Certificate (part-time)

Successful completion of a University of Bolton Access to HE Diploma course will allow you to progress on to an undergraduate| course in a related subject (and many other subjects as well).

Access courses are also provided by many further education colleges to prepare students for higher education. A wide range of subject areas are available - please contact your local FE college for more information.
