Enrolment
When you enrol you officially become a student of the University of Bolton. It is the process of formally joining the University. Enrolment takes place within the first few days of arriving on campus. It takes place at the Chancellor's Mall, University Way, Deane Campus which is centrally located and easy to find. All new students will make their way there, so there is always someone to ask and it’s somewhere to meet your fellow Freshers.
You will receive your Student ID card which is also your library| card and gives you access to the computer rooms.
If you wish to stay in our Halls of Residence| you will also be able to sign your accommodation contract, and receive the keys to your room.
At enrolment you can find out more about (and become a member of) the Students’ Union|.
You can also pick up helpful leaflets and information on all aspects of student life from the Student Advisers| at the Student Centre.

Induction
Induction is the process of becoming familiar with your academic school and your course.
The induction process varies for each school. It is sometimes referred to as ‘orientation’. You will be welcomed by your school and meet your course tutors. Your tutors can answer any questions you may have about the start of your course. You will receive your timetable information and any other information you need before classes begin. You will find out where your course notice boards are located.
It is a good opportunity to find your way to and from the lecture halls, classrooms and libraries.
