Physical Activity
Physical activity and sport is part of the University's holistic framework for staff health and supporting an active workforce. Our long term vision is of the health promoting university (the "Well U") for all staff and students.
Staff who are interested in participating in physical activity can sign up to the Sports Centre. NHS Bolton has recently launched a new web page on accessing physical activities event across the borough of Bolton. Please click on the Get Active Bolton option in the right hand column for more information.
The HEFCE funded Staff Wellbeing Project has included the £1m Challenge project as one of their casestudies within the sector.
Sports and Spinal Injury Clinic
University staff can access the services of the Sports and Spinal Injury Clinic without going through the Personnel and Organisational Development department or their manager. This is known as self referral. Appointments are booked by contacting the Clinic direct via email to ssic@bolton.ac.uk| or telephone 01204 903680. Fees are payable by the employee direct to the Sports and Spinal Injury Clinic. Information on the Clinic facilities can be accessed here. |
